ACADEMICS

Our programs focus on an integrated instruction in Italian language and on-site cultural study. With our university faculty, you will acquire an in-depth understanding of Italy, its customs, its history and traditions, its contemporaneity and future outlook.

We offer 3- or 4-week Italian language and culture programs. Students can fine-tune their program based on their academic and learning needs. Our core Italian language course (12 hours per week) is taught in small groups of 12-15 students.

All Italian CORE language course are offered at all levels: ELEMENTARY, PRE-INTERMEDIATE, INTERMEDIATE, ADVANCED-INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED (corresponding to European Framework levels A1 through C2). Students are placed in the appropriate level group after initial testing and based on previous curriculum.
ADVANCED ITALIAN: LANGUAGE, ART AND CULTURE

This course is designed for students wishing to concentrate on improving their language skills, and also have the necessary time available to discover and enjoy Torino and its region.
The course includes 12 hours of formal weekly language instruction, a weekly "Discover Piedmont" field class, featuring field trips and workshops with local experts in various fields (food, crafts, etc.) and tandem language practice opportunities.

  • Workshops on Italian culture: 4 hours per week

ITALIAN, WORDS AND MUSIC

ENTRY VISAS. Citizens of the European Union and of EEA countries do not need visas to live in Italy. Citizens of the U.S. and Canada may visit Italy for up to 90 days on the visa waiver program (i.e.: no visa required). MEDICAL INSURANCE. EU students must obtain an E111 certificate of medical coverage in their own country prior to travelling to Italy. Non EU students must carry personal insurance against illness and accident. Insurance must be valid in Italy. In Italy ER medicine is available thorugh the national health servieces.
